Tommie E. Jones was born on November 14, 1956, the fourth child of the late Calvin Jones and Cornelia Jones. He grew up in Hinesville, Georgia, in the Chapel Hill Community. Tommie attended Bethel AME Church and Aisle of Hope Holiness Church. He obtained his education at HineshawElementary School and Bradwell Institute.
Construction work was Tommie’s passion. He was an entrepreneur. For many years he was self employed withhis own stucco business. He enjoyed and was proud of the many projects he was a part of creating. Being a master craftsman, his workmanship can be seen along the east coast, from Thomasville, Georgia to Beaufort, SC. For many years, he was employed by Cleland Site Prep, INC, in Beaufort, SC. Tommie was also well known for his culinary skills. He loved to cook and barbecue on the grill where family and friends enjoyed his dishes.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Cornelia Jones, Hinesville, GA; son, Derrick Frasier, Hinesville, GA ; Six siblings: Esther (Melvin) Riley, Orangeburg, SC; Calvin (Janice) Jones, III, Hardeeville, SC; Robert (Cynthia) Jones, Guyton, GA; Benjamin (Genevive) Jones, St. Matthews, SC ; Renee(Julian) Jones, Hinesville, GA; Solomon Smith, Hinesville, GA; two granddaughters: Kianna and Madison; Cousins who were like siblings: Cassandra Ramos, Robert “Bobbie” Jones, Eric “Brook” Jones and a host of nieces , nephews, family and friends.
A special thanks to Dr. Bulbul and Staff, who gave Tommie such excellent medical care.
Tommie will be forever missed and his memories will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
