Tamela Byrd gained her wings on July 17, 2022, at age 25. Tamela was born to Kelly Byrd, Sr, and Lasonya Belcher on October 25, 1996, in Lawton, OK. Tamela was preceded in glory by her mother, LaSonya, and great-grandmother Georgia Lee Rhodes (Granny). She graduated in 2015 from Bradwell Institute in Hinesville, GA, and attended Georgia Southern University from 2015-2016. Tamela was a phenomenal makeup artist, but after losing her mother, she poured her heart into finding something to do in honor of her mom; thus, she was inspired to start a t-shirt business named Antoinette T’s.
Tamela was loved by her blended family. She is survived by her Fathers Kelly Byrd and Dwight Belcher, Grandmothers Sonya Butler, Tammy Byrd, and Alice Carter, Brother Kelly Byrd, JR., Sisters Brittany, Belcher-Powell (Derrell), Dominique McGhee, Nieces Khayla Byrd, Aleka McGhee, and Brielle Powell, nephews Kavontae Byrd and Amare Belcher and a host of uncle's aunt's friends and relatives
