Samuel E. Holmes Jr. of Midway, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Liberty Regional Hospital.
Samuel was born on March 30, 1986 to Samuel Sr. and Jeanette Holmes of Midway, GA.
Samuel was a member of True Born Church of Christ Deliverance Center Inc. in Riceboro, GA. Samuel was an usher at the church. He also was in a gospel group called the Little Holmes Miracles.
Samuel attended Liberty County School System and graduated from Liberty County High School in 2004. Samuel attended Savannah Technical College after high school and graduated with an Associate Degree in Marketing Management in 2006.
Samuel was employed with SNF Holding Company in Riceboro, GA for thirteen years.
Samuel was preceded in death by his grandmother Luretha (Pat) Houston, great grandmother Julia B. Green, great grandfather Henry Green, grandfather William Holmes Sr, great grandfather Charles Butler, great grandmother Julia Butler.
Samuel met the love of his life Nikita Jackson in 2009. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on February 12, 2010. To this union three children were received. Samuel loved his family and was a great husband, father, son, brother and provider.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 11 years Nikita Holmes of Midway, GA; one son, Samuel W. Holmes III; two daughters, MaKayla E. Grooms and Grace I. Holmes all of Midway, GA; parents, Samuel Sr. and Jeanette Holmes of Midway, GA; one brother, Joshua Holmes of Hanover, PA; two sisters, Shaletha Holmes of Orlando, FL and Jerrika Holmes of Hinesville, GA; grandmother, Ada B. Holmes of Midway, GA; Uncles, Jerry (Tesha) Sapp Sr. of Midway, GA, Kevin (Rita) Sapp of Midway, GA, William (Gladys) Holmes Jr. of PA, Gregory (Semona) Holmes Sr. of Brunswick, GA, Shawn (LaKeisha) Holmes of Daytona, FL, Jimmy (Andrei) Holly of Savannah, GA; aunts, Julia A. Greene of Hinesville, GA and Patricia Holmes of Pensacola, FL; father in law, Oscar Lee Hatcher of Claxton, GA, brother in laws, Christopher Jackson, Corry (Angel) Jackson both of Statesboro, GA and Sean (Shambrielle) Jackson of Claxton, GA; sister in law, Shavonta Baptiste of Statesboro, GA; twin cousin, Joselyn Green of Hinesville, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends that loved him dearly.
