Obituary

Mrs. Rosella Anderson Mobley, known affectionately by her family as “CANDY”, was born on November 4, 1939 in Riceboro, Georgia. Rosella was the fourth of ten children born to Steve and Rosa Lee Anderson. Rosella lived in Jacksonville, Florida briefly before moving to Miami, Florida where she resided until her passing.

While living in Miami she met and married Sam Mobley, and the two were married for over sixteen years. She was employed as a senior companion with Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.

Having a strong mind to serve the Lord, she became a member of the House of God Miracle Temple of Miami, Inc. where Thomas Carr is the Pastor. She was a member there for over forty years, serving as one of the Mothers of the church, a Missionary, and a member of the choir. Mother Mobley was delighted with helping in the ministry which served the elderly and her church family. Her favorite quote was “God is still on the throne”, which she used often as her affirmation.

Rosella was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Mobley; parents, Steve and Rosa Lee Anderson; brothers, Eddie Lee Anderson and Joe David Anderson; sisters, Shirley Anderson and Dorothy Mae Jones.

The legacy of her fierce character and candid nature will forever be in the memory of her daughter, Carolyn Anderson; granddaughter, Tinika R. Anderson; grandson, Hassan A. Anderson; brothers, Steve Anderson, Eugene Anderson, and Benjamin Anderson; sisters Betty Holmes and Marie Bozeman; sisters in-law, Annie Anderson and Ruby Lee Anderson, and generations of nephews, nieces and cousins.

Rosella will be remembered by her devoted niece Sandra Mobley Haywood and her beloved friends: Thomas and Marva Brown, Joe Wesley, Cynthia Carr-Brown, Karen Musgrow, Jackie Walker, Valerie Dukes, and Pam Carter; also, her dedicated friends of the residential community, Edison Plaza: Artie Smith and Carlos Bacila.
