Rhonda “Jackie” Oxendine Obituary

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!  His mercies never cease.  Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.  I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”  Lamentations 3:22-24 (NLT)

Rhonda “Jackie” Dannett James Oxendine was born on February 19, 1967 to Emma and the late Dan Ninkie James.  From the age of three, she was reared by the only father she knew, Deacon Lewis Lowder, Sr.  On Thursday, March 24, 2022, she answered our heavenly father’s call to eternal reward.

During her early Christian experience, Rhonda accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and joined True Born Miracle Deliverance Center of Riceboro, GA.  She was baptized and served under the leadership of Apostle Richard Walthour, Jr.  As she traveled abroad, the Lord allowed Rhonda to receive biblical teachings, faith enrichment, and spiritual renewal from manybiblical scholars and spiritual leaders.

Rhonda attended the public schools in Liberty County and graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1985.  She pursued a college education by attending Savannah State University and Kaplan University where she was on the president’s and dean’s list of honors.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from ITT Technical Institute.

She was married in holy matrimony to Isaiah Oxendine, Jr. and reared five children.

She was a very friendly person who greeted you with a welcoming smile and lots of laughter.  She was very crafty with her hands, and she took pride in making creative floral arrangements, door wreaths, hairstyles, and interior decorations.  Rhonda enjoyed seeing the fruit of her labor.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her brother Lewis Clarence Lowder, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories five children:  La Shawn Oxendine of New York, NY; Emmanuel Oxendine of Dothan, AL; Cornelius Oxendine of Searcy, AK; Sarai Oxendine and Shekinah Oxendine both of Ludowici, GA; a loving mother,Emma Lowder and devoted father, Lewis Lowder of Riceboro, GA; three sisters: Felicia (Latoris) White of Dothan, AL; Andrea (Charles) Gordon of Allenhurst, GA; and Lucinda White of Clifton, NJ; two brothers: Marcus (Toboria) Lowder and Terrance (Charisse) Lowder both of Panama City, FL; six aunts: Daisy James and Peggy James both of Riceboro, GA; Nancy James of Rochester, NY; Patricia Campbell of Bristol, GA; Matilda (Warren) Riles of Midway, GA; and Alice (Leon) Clark of Riceboro, GA; one uncle, George (Amalia) Berry of Lawrenceville, GA; a special relative, Hester Brown of Riceboro, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
