Johnny Lee “John” Roberts, 77, passed away on May 20, 2023 in Riceboro, Georgia.
John was born in Bradenton, Florida to the late Walter Roberts, Sr. and the late Hazel Horne Roberts on August 22, 1945. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial High School in Palmetto Florida. John was a veteran who served with distinction in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves where he received honorable discharges. He worked a combined forty years as a Master Machinist at Machlett Laboratories in Stamford, CT and at Drill Masters Eldorado Tool, Inc in Milford, CT.
John is survived by his wife, Barbara Spencer-Roberts, of Riceboro, GA; his daughter Melissa (Kerwin) Roberts - Rockhead; three grandchildren, Aimee, Olivia, and Isaiah; and great-granddaughter, Kendall, all of Milford, CT; his sisters Yvonne R. Wallace of Brooksville, FL and Eloyce V. Hunter of Starke, FL. John is also survived by his mother-in-law Ethel Chambers, brother-in-lawMarshall Spencer, and sister-in-law Karen Miller.
John was previously widowed by Yvonne D. Roberts. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Lora Jon Roberts; brother, Walter Roberts, Jr.; sisters, Vera Yarn, Doris Petersen, Betty Maynor, and Naomi Taylor, brothers-in-law, Rodney Spencer, Charles Spencer, Jules Spencer; and sisters-in-law, Darlene Spencer and Denice Spencer.

Funeral services will be held at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway, GA. Burial to follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
