James Johnson Obituary


On Friday, December 31, 2021, God has called his son, James Lewis Johnson home. James was born on March 2, to the late Earnest Golden and Annie P Johnson of Hinesville Ga. He was raised in Liberty County Georgia and attended Liberty County Public Schools.
   After Graduation James joined the U.S. Air Force, where he trained as a Military Police Officer. After reaching a high level of ranking, he later was honorably discharged in 1969. Later he married he was married his former wife Peggy Singleton. This marriage blessed him with their only child Sakee Stokes in Patterson, New Jersey. Which they live for serval years James worked at the Pepsi Company as a material handler. Later, James moved back to Liberty County to finish his career as a contracting government Police Officer. James found a calling for helping soldiers so he decided to work at Mile Warehouse as a Supply Technician at Ft. Stewart Army Base, which he finally retired. 
  
James had many passions. He loved to sing, He was an active choir member of St. Peters AME Church. James LOVED taking pictures of any and everything or person. He also loved his cars, Ham radios, CB radios, fishing, and cutting-edge technology. 
  He was preceded in death by his siblings: Cathy Tate, Jerome Jones, and William Jones Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory by his Daughter Sakeea Stokes (Andrae), Five grandkids
Trinity Reese, James Reese Jr, Arianna Stokes, Jada Stokes, Andrae Stokes Jr., Sisters and Brothers Margaret Alvin (Johnny), Rickey Jones, Margie Stevens (Karl), Michael Jones. Nieces and Nephews, Sean Walthour (Tawanna), Santell Minges (Lannen), Samekeil Walthour, Brittaney Tate, Brandy Tate. Host of Great nieces and Nephews, Cousins, Family, and Friends.
