Floyd Bush Jr.

Floyd Bush, Jr. was born in Savannah, GA on June 24, 1942 to the late Floyd Bush, Sr. and Luella Gordon Bush. He was one of five children. He was educated in the Savannah-Chatham County School System, where he loved to learn and draw. He accepted Christ at an early age and believed God could do anything but fail.

Floyd loved spending time with his family and friends, having fun, telling jokes and stories about his grandfather and the different people he had met and places that he had been. As a young man, Floyd moved to New York (Bronx & Jamaica, Queens) where he was employed by Consolidated Edison, Inc. for over 20 years as a pipe fitter. He later moved back home to Savannah where he worked for Memorial Medical University in the operating room as a Surgical Technician/Environmental Technician. Floyd was incredibly versatile and multi-talented in various areas such as construction, auto mechanics, landscaper, etc. He was a well-rounded person that put his best into all that he did.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Bush, Sr. & Luella Gordon Bush & his brother Jack Bush. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Mary Harris and Ann Bush; one brother Charles Bush, his children: Roger (Amanda) Bush; Cecil (LaDuanna) Bush; Antoinette Bush; Kim Charles; Courtney (Donte) Bush-Jones; Stepchildren: Shawnte (Michael) Johnson; Timothy (Yolanda) Bennett; Sierra McIvory; Grandsons: Jeremiah Melton & Caleb Bennett; a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
