Employment -  Retired employee of HomeBanc Mortgage, Atlanta, Georgia.   She came out of retirement to work at Precious Ones Preschool where she enjoyed tending to her babies

Married – The late Leroy Charles Cooper, June 17, 2000

Dorothy leaves to cherish her sweet memories and laughs to her two daughters, Alicia Holmes Knox (Rick), LaShauana Holland-Armstrong (Keith), and one son, Craig Holmes Sr, (Margarita) all of Fairburn, Georgia. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Anthony Bethea, Craig Holmes Jr, Shanikwa Holmes, Ameka Holland, Destiny Knox, Mercedes Holland, Ashley Holmes-Hackmen, Keithshae Armstrong, and Keithsha Armstrong; twelve great grandchildren, Jadara Bethea, Anthony Bethea II, Portlon Mackey, London Holland, Derrion Ward, Makiyah Wilson, Kingston Holland, Riley Grey Hackman, Ricardo Knox II, Reign Jordan Hackman, Legacy Armstrong, and Eternity Armstrong. Her six brothers, Reverend Dr. Charlie L. Anderson (Helen) of Walthourville, Georgia, ReverendArnell Anderson (Bernice) of Loganville, Georgia, Carlton Anderson of Walthourville, Leon Anderson of Jacksonville, Florida, Lee Curtis Anderson (Cathey) of Covington, Georgia, and Hugh Anderson of Homerville, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Lillie Cooper-Webber of North Carolina; three special nieces, Dorothy Anderson Quarterman, Bronx, New York, Sharon Anderson Moody (Ronald) of Savannah, Georgia,and Prophetess Dr. Phylena Anderson Void (Eddie) of Ludowici,Georgia; one special great niece, Selina Quarterman-Bey (Rahman) of Maryland; two special nephews, Charlie Anderson Jr (Jamira) and Ulysses Evans (Emma) both of Atlanta, Georgia; one god-daughter,Amariya Kirkland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Leroy Charles Cooper; two sons, Glenn Holmes and Melvin A Holland Jr;  two brothers, Grady Anderson and John Anderson; her one and only sister, Maeona Anderson-Evans; her loving parents, Arnie Anderson and Mae Baker Anderson; three sisters- in- law, Carrie Anderson, Lynn Anderson, Mary Brunson; and three brothers- in- law, Leon Cooper, Henry Brunson, Ron Weeber.
