Deonta Leon Jarrell Alvin

Deonta Leon Jarrell Alvin was born July 07,1992 in Savannah, Ga to LaShawn Stewart and Leroy Alvin Jr. Raised in Liberty County GA. He departed this earthly life and transitioned into eternal rest on May 09,2022 at the age 29.

At an early age he joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Riceboro, Ga under the leadership of Pastor Curtis Lemon

Deonta graduated from Liberty County High Class of 2013. Employed at the time of his passing with J. D’s Landscaping and Irrigation, LLC Midway, Ga.

He was a very humorous and friendly person with a big heart and the smile to match it. He was known throughout the community for this one of his many gifts. Always willing to lead a helping hand. Courageous, loving, caring and sharing person.

Deonta was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Margaret J. Stewart, paternal grandmother Carrie Lee and aunt Essie Alvin:

He leaves to cherish his loving memories one son: Maison Bradley of Midway, Ga., a loving Mother, LaShawn Stewart and devoted Father, Leroy Alvin Jr. of Riceboro, Ga.; two brothers: Antonio and Algernon Stewart both of Riceboro, Ga.; two sisters: TuLeShula Alvin and Zy’Asia Lee both of Riceboro, Ga.; maternal grandfather: Isiah (Mary) Stewart and paternal grandfather Leroy Alvin Sr. both of Riceboro, Ga.; two maternal aunts: Glenda (Tyrone) Shellmon and Gwenette (Antwine) Robinson both of Riceboro, Ga.; five paternal aunts: Juanita Pasley and Gwendolyn (Jimmy) Stewart both of Riceboro, Ga., Sarah (Ted) Singleton of Hinesville, Ga., Cynthia (Elton) Britton of Midway, Ga., Brenda (James) Brown of Walthourville, Ga.; two maternal uncles: Sherman Stewart of Stockbridge, Ga., and Freeman Stewart of Riceboro, Ga.; one paternal uncle Ricky (Maggie) Alvin of McIntosh, Ga.; cousins: Antoinette M, Shateria D, Tierra F, LaShayla G, Cassandra P, Katrina S, Javon J, Javis J, Terrance S, Damien S, Keon S, Antonio S, Quamaine F, Dwaine P, Darren P, Jarod S, Von S, Tilmon A, Damion W, a special friend Keandrea Holmes and a host of grandaunts, granduncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday May 21, 2022, from 5-6 at Dorchester Funeral Home

Funeral Service will be on Sunday May 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Dorchester Funeral Home

Interment following the service will be at First Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Riceboro, Ga.
