Our Condolences to the family of Dea. Joseph Sheppard.

Mr. Joseph Sheppard, Jr. was born May 10, 1955 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Joe and Perry Lee Sheppard. He was educated in Savannah, GA. He served in the United States Air Force. His last place of employment Pier 1 Imports in Savannah Georgia as a heavy equipment operator.
He was an active member of Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Chairman of the Deacon Board. He sang in the choir and often time sang at other church functions.
He was very loved by his community. He could put a smile on everyone’s face who he met. He was full of love and laughter. He always had a funny story to tell.
He met the love of his life Helen Sheppard in 1976. They were married for 37 glorious years.
He leaves to mourn-his loving wife Helen Sheppard, their two children, Joseph A. Sheppard (Nicole) of Savannah, Georgia, Felica S. Ervin (Vaughn) of Port Wentworth, Georgia. He loved and enjoyed seeing his 8 grandchildren, Tevin Green, K. Da Zahaun Murray, Nicholas J. Sheppard, Xzavier M. Sheppard, Zanaya J. Sheppard, Jo’Siyah S. Sheppard, Katelynn A. Green, and JilissaA. Sheppard. Two great-grandchildren Xzavier Sheppard Jr. and Kimanti Murray, two Godchildren.
He was proceeded in death by 4 sisters, Lucille B. Williams, Elizabeth Butler, Dorothy Sheppard, Gloria Sheppard, and one brother Calvin Sheppard. He also leaves behind two sisters Retha Sheppard of Savannah, Georgia, and Cynthia Dickson (Robert) of Richmond Hill, Georgia, one brother-in-law Alfonso Williams, a Spiritual Mother Christine Campbell, and two Spiritual Brothers Greg Campbell and Dwayne Campbell, andhost of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He entered into peace and rest at his home surrounded by his loving family.
