Obituary

Danny Ray Phillips, a man of great courage, was born on February 02, 1965 in Tunica, Mississippi to Eddie Lee Phillips and Lois Ann Love. He moved to Chicago, Illinois at a young age and graduated from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. At the age of 18, he joined the US Army and served in the Infantry Division for 21 years at various military installations both in the US and abroad. Mr. Phillips was recognized for his exceptional service and bravery with numerous achievements and honors. Despite facing illness, he pursued further education, earning an associate degree in Computer Technology Information and later resuming his studies in Accounting and Business Management at Strayer University. His dedication and perseverance are truly inspirational, filled with dedication and courage.

 

Danny Ray Phillips is an individual of high moral values and principles such as respect and honor. He has always fulfilled his responsibilities as a provider, ensuring that every need is met with excellence. As a protector, he has played various roles such as son, husband, father, and uncle, making sacrifices and showing leadership qualities like integrity, self-awareness, courage, respect, empathy, and gratitude. Mr. Phillips was a man who lived his life with a sense of pride and love in all aspects. He never regretted the difficulties he encountered and faced them with courage and serenity, knowing he had done his utmost, no matter how it appeared to others. His inspiring attitude towards life is truly admirable. His courage, confidence, and commitment to being the best version of himself make him an inspiration to many to pay tribute to the way you lived your life and the choices you made, with a sense of pride, admiration and without any feelings of remorse or disappointment.

 

 

Danny was preceded in death by his father EdLee "Shortman" Phillips, sister Lisa Phillips, brother Antonio Malone, nephew, Re'Von Phillips (RIP), fraternal and maternal grandparents, and various uncles and aunts

 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory wife Andrena Phillips, mother Lois Ann Love, daughter Dejoi Nicole Phillips, grandaughter Nylah Crooks, brother Eddie Phillips, Jr, sister Sheila Phillips, nieces Chyrell Phillips, Shanique Phillips, Taylor Phillips, Tierra Malone, nephews Trayvon Phillips, Dominique Lewis, Jumique Phillips, Malk Phillips, Antwun Malone, Aunt Judy Greene, various aunts and uncles, host of family and friends
