Corene J. Tyson, the ninth child to the late Dan and Anna Williams, was born on August 21st in the year of our Lord 1950. She was preceded in death by eight of her beloved siblings. Corene received her education in the Liberty County School System before attending Savannah State College in 1968, she was employed at the Liberty County Jail as well as the Rayonier Chemical Plant in Jesup, GA. In April of 1975 Corene and Simon Tyson were joined in Holy Matrimony and from this union two beautiful daughters were born. In 1987 Corene received her calling from God to deliver His word to all people. Evangelist Tyson worked diligently in her calling to do just that, She spread the word tirelessly by way of tent revivals, nursing home ministries and even opening her home up for prayer and bible study in the community. On September 5, 2022 with her work on earth complete, Evangelist Tyson received a message from her Master to transition from labor to reward. She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband of 46 years: Simon C. Tyson; two daughters: Lawanda (Melvin) Blalock and Anita Tyson; five grandchildren: Brandon, Olivia, Benjamin, Jesus and Shakyra; two sisters: Nancy Steven and Oretha Williams; one brother: Peter Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close relatives and friends.
