He's also remembered for excelling in his musical abilities. He served as musician at his home church Baconton Missionary Baptist Church playing the drums and bass guitar. His mother is also a musician and they served together in several music ministry's around the community. If you handed him an instrument, he was going to learn how to play it.

He had a go-getter attitude and was a hard worker who was always ready for his next challenge. The simplest pleasures in life such as cooking out on the grill and listening to music brought him a magnitude of joy. One of his greatest gifts in life was becoming a father. He later served in the U.S. Navy and was most recently a professional truck driver. He loved being out on the road and exploring the world.
