The staff of Dorchester Funeral Home would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Willie Pearl Mikell. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.& He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Willie Pearl Mikell, 91 also known as Granny, of Walthourville, GA, received her wings to her eternal destination on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in Hinesville, GA.
A native of Ellabell, GA was born November 3, 1929 to Mrs. Roddie and Mr. Daniel Pridgen, both preceded her in death. She attended the Bryan County public schools in Ellabell, GA. Mrs. Willie Pearl met and married Oscar Mikell, August 31, 1947, and to this union they had eight (8) children, three preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Thomas AME Church in Walthourville, GA.
Mrs. Mikell enjoyed fishing and watching game shows and sports, especially baseball.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories five children: Lucy Blye, Ernestine Martin, Oscar W (Helen) Mikell, Ellen Diane Parham and Albert, Sr. (Cathie) Mikell. Eight grand children, eight great-grandchildren and 2 brothers: Frank (Mary) Pridgen and Oscar (Lecy) Pridgen; two sisters-in-law: Geraldine Green and Nonie Pridgen.
