Willie Mae
"Hilly" Jacobs
October 5, 1945 – February 25, 2025
God saw you getting weary,
So He put His arms around you and whispered,
"Come home and rest."
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day He called you home.
Willie Mae Jacobs was born on October 5, 1945, in Midway, Georgia, to the late Mr. Capius and Mrs. Wilhelmina Quarterman O'Neal.
She attended the public schools of Liberty County and graduated from Liberty County High School in 1963.
She proudly served 4 years in the Women's Army Corps as a nurse, stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. After her military service, she later took a job as a CNA and eventually became an LPN at Liberty Regional Medical Center. She retired on January 2, 2015, after 46 dedicated years of service.
