Willard Bodean
Comeaux Sr
June 20, 1964 – July 5, 2022
On June 20th, 1964, Willard Bodean Comeaux was born to Essel Alice Robertson and, after her passing when he was two years old, was raised by his aunt and uncle: the late Wilda and Sydney Robertson. One day after our country's Independence Day in 1989, Willard chose to devote his working career to the United States Army. During his service in 1990, his only son, Willard Comeaux Jr., was born. Seven years later, his only daughter, Lecretia Comeaux, was born.
Willard traveled to many countries during his service and made many friends and memories along the way. These memories he lovingly shared with his family. One such fond memory that will never leave his daughter's mind is the time he ate a fly that had landed on his mashed potatoes during his employment in the desert. Along his adventures, he&acquiredfond memories and just as fond nicknames from his familial friends, nieces, and nephews, ranging from "Guillermo" to "Uncle Willie-san."
Willard loved and will always love his family and friends. He wasprecededin death by his mother, Essel Robertson; his aunt, Wilda Robertson; his uncle, Sydney Robertson; his brother, Jude Robertson; and his wife of over thirty years ofmarriage, Amanda Lynette Robertson.
He leaves his memories to his son Willard Jr., whom he was proud of to the very bone; and his daughter Lecretia, whom he adored beyond measure. In his passing, he also leaves his memories and joy to hislifelongfriends and family: Avia Gaines, Gerald Gaines, Kirk Gaines, Rondarious Gaines, Aysia Walker, Christian Thomas, Danese Dase, Jazmine Dase, Rolando Dase, Rolando Dase Jr., Khano Neal, his cousin who raised him, Elaine Figaro; and a plethora of others whom he has touched with his insurmountable generosity and kindness.
Although Willardis no longer with us to make new memories with him, the memories made while with him, and those that will be made without him, will continue to hold his warmth and laughter, his joy and wisdom.
