Obituary

Wanda Lee Adore was born on September 15, 1947 to Laura Bell (Jefferies) Harvey and Charles Hampton Young in Danville, Virginia.

Retired Payroll Supervisor from Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, NY. Wanda spent her time in retirement caring for children in many facets. She owned and operated a daycare and served as a foster care parent to many children in our community. She continued to permanently share her life and love with children by making 3 very special children her own through adoption.



Wanda best known as "Mudda" went on to have 7 children, Denise R. Adore, Melissa C. Adore, Juanita J. (Adore) Lowery {son-in-law Randall Lowery}, Evelyn Monique Shipman, Isaiah B. Adore, Aiden Young-Adore, and Mia Young-Adore. Grandchildren, Keyanna Roseborough, Genise Nickens, Briana Reece, Tyriq Reece, Jacob Lowery, Kayla Gillis, Erin Kerr, and Kaleb Lowery. Great-grands Paris and Arianna Demery.



Wanda was predeceased by her mother Laura B. Harvey and brother David Young. She is survived by her baby brother


Eric Young and her nieces and nephews.



Services will be held at Baconton Missionary Baptist ChurchPavilionon June 25, 2022 at 2:00pm.Funeral services are entrusted with Dorchester Funeral Home Midway, GA. All thoughts, prayers, flowers, and gifts are greatly appreciated.
