Walter Kennedy Jr. (Brother) was born on July 19, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Walter Kennedy Sr. and Lula Mae Kennedy. He was educated in the public school system of liberty County where he graduated from Bradwell Institute. Early in life, he was christened at Midway First Presbyterian Church. He was a dedicated and hard worker for Ansco & Associates. Walter was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, godfather, uncle, and friend, to all who knew him. He was known for his jokes, kind heart, and he would give his last to anyone. During the summer of 1987 he met the love of his life, Mary Smith, they were joined in holy matrimony on September 10, 1988. Walter and Mary raised their son, which was the apple of his eye. Walter was proceeded in death by his parents as well as his brother Michael Kennedy. On Friday, March 14, 2025 Walter was welcomed home to rest. He leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife Mary Kennedy, his devoted son Terrence Smith, two adorable grandchildren; Tiana and Bailey Smith, his special nephew: Ashthon Kennedy, special cousins that called him uncle as they were
dear to his heart; Brandon McLeod, Dominique Stuckey, and Glenard Chaney. His aunts: Missionary Loretta Johnson (Theo), Ms. Sybil Webb, Ms. Grace Campbell, and Mrs. Patricia Patterson Reid. Uncles: William Patterson (Sharon), Lonnie Ray Patterson , and a host of cousins, and relatives. He also leaves to cherish his memories, a host of special friends, his mother-in-law, Vernia Latson of Savannah, GA; Sister-n-Law Pamela Smith of Hinesville, GA; Brother-n-Law Kevin & Kenneth Salem of Savannah, GA, Rodney Smith (Alice) of Savannah Ga, and Bobby Smith Jr. (Gwen) of Gulfport Mississippi.
