Viola (Alvin) Roberts, 98, affectionately known as "Lover" and one of the most eldest residents of Riceboro, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born May 6, 1926, to the late Joe Alvin, Sr., and Viola (Hines) Alvin and was the fourth of five siblings. At an early age she joined First African Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Viola was married to the late John Roberts and from that union nine children were born, one (Doris Selden) of whom preceded her in death.
