Tommie Lee
"Joe" Robinson
December 15, 1961 – March 23, 2026
T ommie Lee Robinson, lovingly known as "Joe," passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born on December 15, 1961, in Buffalo, New York.
Tommie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and provider who loved his family deeply and lived his life with quiet strength and dedication. He was the beloved husband of Leslie Robinson, whom he cherished and adored. He showed his love daily—whether by taking her to the flea market, out to eat, or simply making sure she had anything she wanted.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever honor his memory: his wife, Leslie Robinson; his son, Jamel Robinson; his stepdaughter, Charlena Stewart; and his daughters, Jenytra Robinson and Desiree' Scriven. He also leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Roger Harden II, and his sister, Latonya Harden.
Tommie was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Bell and Henry Golden Jr.
Tommie was a proud and loving grandfather to seven granddaughters—Zyteona Young, Kei'Myah Stewart, Zyreona Stewart, Mackenzie Scriven, Neveah Scriven, Ja'Zariah Robinson, and Camryn Smith—and four grandsons—Terrance Stewart, Ja'Cori Mays, Jeremiah Kyles, and Jermaine Kyles III. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he made sure to protect, spoil, and love them endlessly.
Tommie dedicated over 20 years of service to the Liberty County Board of Education, working in custodial roles at Hinesville Middle School, Snelson-Golden Middle School, and Liberty College and Career Academy before retiring. He later continued working as a dishwasher at Bubba Bistro in Richmond Hill, Georgia, and also operated his own cleaning business.
A man of simple joys, Tommie took great pride in his yard—keeping his grass cut and everything neat, often with his favorite lawn equipment close by. He was known for being quiet and reserved, but those closest to him knew that once he opened up—especially with a Budweiser in hand—he became the life of the party. He loved playing poker, joking with friends and family, and didn't mind taking your money while doing it.
Above all, Tommie was a strong leader and provider for his family. He lived by the words, "We all we got," and made sure his family felt that unity, love, and protection every day. His presence, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him.
