Obituary

Teresa Grant (nee Slade), a homemaker turned housekeeper sadly passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the age of 65. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Tena Slade.

Teresa was born on August 20, 1959, in Newark, NJ and raised in Piscataway, NJ where she also attended high school. On February 14, 1978, at the age of 18 she wed Michael Grant, and they have been inseparable for 47 years. One year later they had their first child until finally completing their family of six children, 3 boys and 3 girls. She and the family lived in different parts of NJ until finally in 2000 along with her husband became a first-time homeowner in Spotswood. In 2007 following her father's passing, Teresa and her family relocated to Midway, Ga where they settled and resided for almost 18 years. Teresa worked in Midway as a housekeeper, cleaning a multitude of homes ultimately resulting in the homeowners grew to love and adore her.

Teresa enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing/crabbing, and spending quality time with her family. She had a heart as big as the moon and was always smiling.

Those who are left to cherish her memory is her previously mentioned loving husband, all six of her children- Chantell Grant (Corey Johnson-Anglin) of Snellville, GA, Crystal Grant of Midway, GA, Michael B. Grant of Midway, GA, Jewel McElroy (Isaiah McElroy)of Covington, GA, Boston Grant, and Ranier Grant both of Midway, GA. She is also survived by one brother-Howard Slade Jr, nieces Allison and Jasmine Slade, cousin Bernell Alleyne-Baker. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren- Jevonte Lewis, Corey "CJ" Johnson-Anglin, Dasan "DJ" Johnson-Anglin, Zionna Johnson-Anglin, Shaun Home, Xzavyon Powell, Alana Powell, Kassie Grant, Dakota Grant, Jaylon Gilliam, and Carter McElroy. She also has three great-grandchildren-Jeremiah, Messiah, and Maleki, as well as a host of other relatives.

She was proceded in death by her aformentioned parents, and granddaughter Nyesha Jones.
