Sylvia Prinshay
(Abrams) Mitchell
September 24, 1991 – November 19, 2023
Sylvia Abrams-Mitchell departed this life on November 19, 2023, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, surrounded by her family.
Sylvia Abrams-Mitchell was born in Montgomery, Alabama September 24, 1991. Sylvia who was better known as "Pooh" to many, was a long-time resident of Hinesville, Liberty County Georgia. Where she attended the public school system.
Sylvia joined Jobs Corps in where she obtained her diploma, she later moved to Orangeburg, South Carolina, where she attended and graduated college in Criminal Justice. Sylvia later moved to Savannah Ga where she met Yoshanda Mitchell whom she married on June, 29th, 2021.
Sylvia was employed with Greyhound as a ticket agent and she was a Security Guard at Savannah College of Arts and Design (SCAD) where she worked until her health began to fail.
Sylvia had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile (grin). She was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. That was who she was, and her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life's challenges. After Sylvia was diagnosed with Cancer it was a long fight, but she kept fighting until the end, she never let it get her down. She was a strong fighter, but she is now sailing on a journey to shores that we cannot see. We know that she is free from pain, and she is at peace. She will be missed dearly but loved even more.
Sylvia was Preceded in death by her Aunt Mary Beaver of Hinesville, GA.
She leaves to cherish her memories her Wife, Mrs. Yoshanda Mitchell, her mother Ms. Tammy Byrd of Hinesville GA, one Grandmother Mrs. Willie Mae Hartley and one Grandfather Mr. Don Hartley both of Hinesville GA, one sister Ms. Rhonda Abrams of Hinesville, Ga, one Aunt Ms. Brenda Hartely, one Great-grand Mother Mrs. Mary McCoo of Montgomery, Alabama, Mother and Father-in-Law Mrs. Shannon and Mr. Jon Fraizer both of Warrensville, SC, three nieces A'Nyla Bryant, Aryianna Bryant, and Myracle Hartley all of Hinesville GA, one nephew Prince Bryant of Hinesville, one uncle Robert (Renatia) Grey & her cousins Devonte Beaver of Hinesville, GA, Tiera Grey, Dominique Grey, India Grey, Malik Grey, Nadja Grey all of Virginia. And a host of family and friends from all over.
