Obituary

ISG(R) Sylvester Moore transitioned from his earthly home into eternal rest on Saturday, 5 Feb 2022 at Winn Army Community Hospital on Ft. Stewart, Georgia.&He was born on September 15, 1952, in Thomson, Georgia to Sim Madison Moore Sr. andMattie Pearl Casey Moore.1SG(R) is a1970 graduate of R.L. NorrisHigh School.He joined the United States Army in 1972. He servedhis country faithfullyfor 23 years and retired in 1996.He is a 1999 graduate of Jacksonville Theological Seminary with a Bachelor of Religious Arts in Biblical Studies.He is an ordained Pastor of Unveiling Word Ministryand Youth Challenge Academy of Fort Stewart, Georgia.


He leaves to mourn a loving wife of 24 years, Elaine Harris Moore; daughter Katrina (Robert) Sam; two sons; Rodney Moore and Sylvester Moore Jr. Siblings; two brothers Michael (Gloria) Casey, Sim (Louise) Moore Jr; two sisters Jessie (Howard) Daniels, and Margie Collins.A host of other relatives and friends.


Visitation: Saturday, February 12, 2022at Dorchester Funeral Home, 7842 E. Oglethorpe Highway, Midway, Georgia.


Funeral: Sunday,February 13, 2022, 3:00 pmat Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1370 Shaw Rd. Hinesville, Georgia.


Interment will follow services at the Anderson Grove Cemetery in Riceboro, Georgia.
