Obituary

Sheryl White was born onSeptember 5, 1968 in Jacksonville, Florida to Juanita Capers and raised by Annie Spears, Alberta Jackson-Tucker and Willie Tucker.Sheryl spent her childhood and teenage years in Jacksonville where she enjoyed sports, the choir, going to church and hanging with friends and family.
The lord then blessed Sheryl with her first child in 1985, Cherelle Jones and that changed the course of her life.Sheryl then went off to graduate from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville in 1987. She met her husband, Omar White in college through a mutual friend and got married in Jacksonville, Florida onMay 16, 1992.
Sheryl joined Omar in his military career and the family went off to Fort Campbell, Kentucky where they had their second child, Taisha White in 1993. In 1995, they moved to El Paso, Texas where Sheryl continue her education at El Paso Community College and worked as a bank teller for several years. She then had her third and final daughter in 1997, Ja'Nea White.The family then made their final move to Fort Stewart, Georgia in 2005 where Sheryl began volunteering and eventually working at the Fort Stewart Education Center in 2006 as Counseling Support/ On- Site Coordinator for 15 years.
Sheryl completed her degree and graduated with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice Administration from Colombia College in 2014. She went off to cross as a member of the Chi Pi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated in 2019.
Sheryl was a beautiful soul with a heart of gold who carried multiple titles: mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend and carried each title with pride. She was incredibly smart, witty, caring and had nurturing spirit that comforted those in need. She never had a friend because they automatically became family in her eyes.Extremely resilient, she never let her problems hinder her from pushing forward. Her quiet strength, love for Christ and family kept her going. She was truly an angel on earth and will be missed dearly.
Sheryl was predeceased by her family Alberta Jackson-Tucker, Willie Tucker, and Annie Spears. Brothers George Capers and Marvin Capers, Aunts Cora Pugh, Uncles Robert Thomas and Warren and father in law Herbert White.
Sheryl is survived by her husband of 29 years Omar White, daughters Cherelle (Willie) Jones, Taisha White and Ja'Nea White, grandkids Caleb Jones, Isaiah Jones and Zaria Jones. Brother Emmett (Drennetta) Capers, sisters Jeraldine (Jerry) Smith, Louvenia (Clarence) Freeman, Georgia (Jimmy) McCrary, June Bradwell and Tess Capers, Cynthia JacksonDiane (Derrick) Dyson and host of aunts, uncles, nephews, family, friends and church family.
