Sarah Elizabeth
Dodge
March 25, 1979 – April 9, 2026
The world became a little quieter on April 9, 2026 with the passing of our beloved Sarah Elizabeth Dodge who will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Sarah will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her kind spirit, and her strong sense of humor that could brighten any room. Her love for wearing crazy socks was just one of the many small things that made her personality so special and unforgettable. She was also a devoted "cat mom" and proudly embraced her role as the family's beloved "crazy cat lady," finding joy and comfort in the companionship of her cats. She dedicated 21 years of her life to serving as a sergeant with the Vidalia Georgia Police Department (Badge 204). Sarah took great pride in her work and her community, earning the respect of those she served alongside and those she protected.
Above all, Sarah was a loving mother. Her family was the center of her world, and she was just as central in theirs deeply loved, deeply valued, and irreplaceable.
Sarah is lovingly survived by her daughter, Ashley Williams; her parents Rebecca and Allen Dodge; her siblings Roger and wife Liz Dodge; Jeffrey Dodge; Stephen and wife Mandy Dodge; James and wife Debra Dodge; sister by choice Nicole Kestler and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday April 15, 2026 at Crossroads Holy Church of God, 2470 W. Elma G. Miles Parkway, Hinesville, Georgia. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service.
Burial will follow at Crossroads Memorial Cemetery, located at the same address.
The family invites all who knew and loved Sarah to join them in honoring her life, her service, and the joy she brought to so many.
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." -Psalms 121: 1-2
