Sabrina Howard Morris, affectionately known as "Brina," a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and friend, peacefully transitioned on January 15, 2026, in Riceboro, Georgia, at the age of 56. Born on December 27, 1969, in Savannah, Georgia, Sabrina's life was a testament to compassion, selflessness, and a steadfast commitment to education and family.
Sabrina attended the Liberty County School System and graduated from Bradwell Institute. She dedicated her professional life to early childhood education, serving children and families with care, patience, and excellence. Throughout her career, Sabrina taught in Chatham, Liberty, and Glynn Counties, with her most recent assignment at Todd Grant Elementary School in McIntosh County. Her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.
In 1997, Sabrina married her sweetheart, Joe Morris, Jr. Their marriage was a beautiful example of true love and partnership. They were rarely seen apart, moving through life side by side, sharing laughter, faith, and enduring support for one another. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, companionship, and deep mutual respect.
If you knew Sabrina, then you knew her sister, Brenda Clark. Their sisterhood was defined by deep closeness, unwavering care, and an enduring bond that remained constant.
Sabrina is lovingly remembered by her husband, Joe Morris, Jr.; her parents, Wilhelmina and Johnny Howard; her sister, Brenda Clark (Ronnie Clark); her son, Xavier Morris (Aminata Traore-Morris); her grandchildren, Xavier and Zora Morris; her father-in-law, Joe Morris, Sr.; her sisters-in-law, Janice Morris, Carolyn Ferguson (Fred Ferguson), Julie Morris, and Jacqueline Barrett, all of Riceboro, Georgia; and loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by Tena Morris, mother-in-law; Earl Morris, brother-in-law; and other beloved relatives.
Sabrina leaves behind a legacy of boundless love, quiet strength, and constant support for others. Her memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
