The staff of Dorchester Funeral Home would like to extend its sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Robert Blake.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.Revelation 21:4
Robert Blake was born in Walthourville, Georgia on October 19, 1951 to the late George W. Blake Sr. and Janie L. Blake. God called him home peacefully on September 12, 2021 at his residence.
Robert Blake was an attendee of Liberty County High school. He was an employee of Groover Farms of Gumbranch and OMI city of Hinesville. He was abelieverin Jesus Christ and loved his family dearly.
After his retirement he loved to spend time with his family and going fishing. He also enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. His favorite song to sing and play was, "Sittinon the Dockof the Bay". Robert had a sense of humor and was a character that scared you when he had the chance. He loved to entertain his great nieces and great nephews by watching them play and having conversation.
Preceded in death are his parents, one brother, George Blake Jr. and two sisters, Christine Blake and Mamie L. Blake.
He leaves to cherish his memories four sisters:Lula Blake of Walthourville , Ga that was also his caregiver,Carrie Baker of Walthourville, Ga., JaniceJackson of Bogart, Ga,Carolyn Blake-Roberts of Walthourville, Ga. and one brother, Melvin BlakeSr.of Walthourville, Ga., a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces,great nephews, cousins and friends.
