Mr. Richard Preston, (Ret) SFC. was born January 28th, 1947,&in Louisville, KY to Richard and Alma (Goeing) Preston. He joined theUnited StatesArmy, where he served in the Vietnam War.He retired in Hinesville, GA where he has lived and continued to work since. Richardpassed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the age of 74. He was a dedicated, hardworking husband, father, and grandfather. His absolute favorite pastime was watching the NASCAR races.

He is survived by his wife, Pieternella (van Leyden) of 41 years, daughter Nancy (Gil), and son, Shelby(Tiffany)Preston, and his five grandchildren.
