Obituary

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

Ramona Michelle Brown was born on July 19,1964 to the late John Willie Brown, Sr. and Hester L. Brown. She attended Liberty County public schools and graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1984. Our beloved "Shell" departed this life, surrounded by family on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Liberty Regional Hospital in Hinesville, GA.

In her early Christian journey, "Shell" was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Garfield Jackson and became a devoted member of First African Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a faithful Christian and actively supported various church auxiliaries until her health declined.

"Shell" was full of life, never allowing her disability to hinder her from living life to the fullest. She greeted everyone she encountered with an infectious smile and her laughter was one-of-a-kind. Her mother was her best friend, and she cherished the moments they spent together—shopping, going for rides, and dining at various restaurants. Deeply loving her family, she extended genuine affection to her nieces and nephews. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her dearly.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving mother, Hester L. Brown, and her devoted brothers: John W. Brown, Jr.of Miami, FL; Gregory (Charisse) Brown; and James Brown both of Riceboro, GA. She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Brown, Sr. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Ammone, Gregory, John, Joshua, Stephanie, Stephen, Stephon, Tara, and Tionna. Additionally, she leaves behind a faithful aunt, Caroline Jackson; a devoted cousin, Andrea Forde; and two special friends, Linda Waye and Nora Stewart.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we love you still,

In our hearts you hold a place

No one else will ever fill.
