Rachelle Keyita Moss, better known as Shell, was born on December 21, 1987 to Richard and Renee Moss in Fort Hood, Texas.

Shell grew up as a military child, stationed in places such as Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Fort Richardson, Alaska, West Point, New York and Fort Stewart, Georgia. Shell attended Bradwell Institute and worked as a childcare provider with Agnes Little Angles and Greater Expectations Day Care Centers.

Shell grew up in the church, giving her life to Christ at a young age. She enjoyed singing in the youth choir.

Shell is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Ruby Moss of Florence, SC.

The youngest of six, Shell is survived by her parents, daughter, Sariyah Wells (father Gregory Wells) of Albany, GA, brothers, Ricardo McPherson of Jacksonville, FL, Richard Allen Brown, Florence, SC, Raheim Moss, Greenville, SC, Melissa Brown & Monica Brown of Florence, SC, maternal grandmother Sally Powell of Bronx, NY and a host of nieces and nephews.
