Rachell Lewis Scott, 54 of Hinesville, passed away on June 1, 2023, at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA. Rachell was born on October 22, 1968, in Donaldsonville, GA to the late Charlie Lewis and Uzel S. Lewis.

After graduating from Sneads High School in 1987, she attended Florida State University before pursuing a career as a Librarian for the Leon County Public Library System. It is during this time she met and wed Derrell Scott, Sr., and to this union one child was born, Christopher Caleb Scott.

Rachell was an avid reader and collector of antiques, a grand scholar and conversationalist. She was a kind and loving soul who was always willing to help others in need. Her generosity knew no boundaries. Like her mother, she was an expert gardener and horticultural enthusiast. She loved music and cooking, and especially loved to talk about Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Lewis, Sr, and Uzel S. Lewis and brother, Charlie Lewis, Jr. Rachell is survived by her husband: Derrell Scott, Sr.; son: Christopher Caleb Scott; one stepson Lamaar Leon Scott; brothers: Elton (Geneva) Lewis, Sr., Melvin (Virginia) Lewis, Sr., and Ferris (Annie Pearl) Lewis; special sister-in-law/best friend: Phillis Scott; niece: Lakesha Lewis; nephews: Elton Lewis, Jr., Melvin (Markita) Lewis, Jr., Jawarn (Denisha) Lewis, and Ferris Lewis III and a host of great nieces and nephews.
