Sister Orlean Anderson was born on May 11, 1942, in Sunbury, GA. She was the daughter of the late William and Laura Belle Anderson. She attended the public schools of Liberty County and graduated from Liberty County High School in 1960.

At an early age, she was baptized at Sunbury Missionary Baptist Church and was a proud member until her death.

Upon graduation, Orlean began a journey in the workforce that reflected her hard work and dedication. She had numerous jobs, including housekeeping at the Midway Motel in Midway, GA, the TA Truck Stop in Richmond Hill, GA, and the Starvin Marvin in Richmond Hill, GA.

Orlean loved riding with her sister Trudy, and if anyone asked her to ride, she was always ready. You can ask her, Cousin John Osborne, about that.

Orlean received her final call from God on Monday, May 4, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah,
GA.

She was preceded in death by four siblings: Matt Anderson, Johnnie Belle Melvin, Celia Davis, Mary Louise Anderson, and one niece, Gustine Williams.

Orlean leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Dianne (Maxie) Jones of Freedman Grove, GA, and Tara S. Anderson of Hinesville, GA. One sister, Trudy (Herbert) Deloach of Freeman Grove, GA, and one granddaughter, Tawanna (Calvin) Terry of Savannah, GA. Several nephews: Willie (Sherell) Anderson of Sunbury, GA, William (Janice) Bullard of Hinesville, GA, and Herbert (Simeon) Deloach Jr. of Port Wentworth, GA. Several nieces: Elvette (Derrick) Spaulding of Ludowici, GA; Gina (Wakil) Carter of Freedman Grove, GA; Sanches Deloach of Ludowici, GA; Laura Melvin of Snellville, GA; and Deidra Deloach of Richmond Hill, GA. Special cousins: the late Hattie Blanche Osborne, Beatrice O. White, Mary Ellen Wood, John Osborne, Deborah Stevens, Marion Anderson, and Harriett Greene. A goddaughter, Jacqueline Henderson, an adopted grandson, Terrance White, and a host of family and
friends.
