Norma Glover McLean of Hinesville, GA passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on December 27, 1952, to Lizzie and Percy Glover, in Siler City, NC. After graduating from Jordan Matthews High School, she attended Central Carolina Community College where she received her Radio Broadcasting Licensure where she was affectionately known as “Ms. Pecan Tan”.
She retired from Humana Tricare Services after 20+ years of service. She was an active member of Christ Empowerment and Enrichment Ministries where she was an Evangelist, a loved sister in Christ, and a faithful servant of God.
Norma loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she was very active in her community. She was a surrogate mother to many in her community and known and loved by all. She married William McLean on August 31,1985 and they shared 40 years together.
She is survived by her husband William McLean, her three children Tomika Baldwin, Tomocina Tyson, and Anthony McLean; her grandchildren Brittany, Dominic, Alexus, Tyler, Jala, BJ, Corday, Mariya, and Malia; great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Glover and Elizabeth Ray; brother, Donald Glover; host of nieces and nephews; and a slew of adopted community children.
The family thanks St. Joseph Hospital and Medical University of South Carolina and all her caregivers for their compassion and top-notch care.
