Our beloved Mary Maxwell Edge was born on August 11, 1945, to the late Lula Bell Roberts Maxwell and Thomas Maxwell. She departed this life on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Coastal Manor Nursing Home of Ludowici, Georgia.

Mother Edge was educated in the Liberty County School System. After graduating high school, she later moved to Georgetown, South Carolina. In South Carolina, she met and married the late Mr. Harvey Edge. She was employed at the former Cherokee Restaurant and Ida Mae and Joe's in Midway, Georgia. She later worked on Fort Stewart at the dining facility as a Food Service Clerk.

Mother Edge gave her life to the Lord early on and had a desire to live a righteous and holy life. She joined the Miracle Deliverance Field Prayer Center, Inc. under the leadership of Pastor Rachael Catherine Hill Fuller, which later became Trueborn Church of Christ Miracle Deliverance Center, Inc. under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Richard Walthour, Jr., with Elder Paul Reed now serving as pastor. She served on the choir and later was installed as a mother until her health began to decline.

Mother Edge is preceded in death by two children: Annette Edge and Anthony Edge.

Mother Edge leaves to cherish her loving memories, her four sons: Willie Maxwell of Midway, Georgia; Tommie (Almeta) Edge of Crescent, Georgia; Samuel (Nichole) Edge of Eulonia, Georgia; and Fredrick Edge of Huntsville, Alabama. One devoted niece/daughter: Bernell Alleyne Baker of Riceboro, Georgia. One brother: Henry (Doris) Gartrell of Riceboro, Georgia. Nine grandchildren: Jamal, Lakisha (David), Pernell, Quanya, Samantha (Keyon), Samariya, Tiana (Shunquaze), Tomika, and Tyler. Eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and her Trueborn Church of Christ Miracle Deliverance Center, Inc. family.
