Missionary Rosetta Hendry departed this life on October 23, 2022. Rosetta was bornonFebruary 28, 1940 in Liberty County Georgia to the late Rudolph Harley and Sallie Baker Harley. Rosettawas the eldest oftenchildren.Rosetta attended Liberty County High School[L.C.H.S.].Upon graduating from L.C.H.S. she moved to New York.Some time after moving to New York she received the Lord as her personal Savior. Shelaterjoined Kelly's Temple, Church of Christ Holiness Unto the Lord under the leadership of Elder Earnest Kelly where she faithfully served as an usher and on the Hospitality Committee.Rosetta's favorite scripture was Psalm 139:14.

Later on Rosetta met the love of her life, Louis Hendry and they were joined in holy matrimony on June 4, 1961. And to this union were born Edwin Louis and RudyVerdellHendry. She wasemployed by Chock-FullO'NutsRestaurant, Western Electric, and the New York City Housing Authority. She received a Teacher's Training Certificate and a Counseling Certificate from the Community Bible Institute; a General Bible Certificate from the Tabernacle Bible Institute;anda Psychology of Counseling Certificatefrom the Mt. Olive Bible Institute. She attended the Brooklyn Training Center and was certified as a Nursing Assistant; completed a Commercial Cooking and Catering Course at the New York Food and Hotel Management School, Division New York Institute of Dietetics, Inc.; and received a Qualifying Certificate in Food Protection from the City of New York Department of Health.

Rosetta was an integral part of the Prison Ministry of Kelly's Temple, Brooklyn, New York,where she received a Certificate of Recognition for Exceptional Service from the New York City Correction Department.In 1995 she retired from the New York City Housing Authority and moved back to Georgia with her beloved husband, Louis. They joined Solomon Temple, Church of Christ Holiness Unto the Lord, under the leadership of Elder Roosevelt Ashley and later Elder Horace Oliver where she faithfully served as an usher and on the Hospitality Committee.

In 2004 Rosettawas called to the ministry. She continued to serve in the prison and nursing home ministries. She was also a Youth SundaySchool Teacher. In 2008 and in 2018 she received the Missionary of the Year Award and in 2015 she received a Victorious Woman Outstanding Community Service Award. She continued to serve faithfully as an usher until October 9, 2022.

Among others,Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph Harley and Sallie Baker-Harley, her sisterVivian Delores Burke,her brother-in-law Billy James;her brother Rudolph Henry Harley, her sisterMuriel Harley, her brother-in-law William A. Maddox,her sister Christine Yvonne Davis,and her nephewsRodneyE.Saunders and DonaldF.James.

Rosetta leaves to cherish her memories herloving and devoted husband of 61 years, 3 months and 19 days, Deacon Louis Hendry; her son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Valerie Hendry; her son andcompanion, Rudy Hendry andTanishaHobbs;eight grandchildren;sevengreat-grandchildren;her sisterFaye Janice Harley-Saunders and husbandEdward Rudolph Saunders;her sisterAnna Louise Harley-James; herbrother-in-lawJoseph Burke; her sisterVera OliviaHines-Latte and husband Jack Thomas A.V. Latte;her sister-in-lawSusie Ann Harley; her sistersDaisy Marie HarleyandMary Ella Sandra Priscilla Maddox; her aunt Adel Baker; her two best friends Katie Houston andNoelenaMartin;her three godchildren, JaniceFurrs,AleahScrivenand Elder Errol Roach;and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
