The Blessed life of
Missionary Judy A. Holmes Lloyd

A Time to be born

Judy Holmes Lloyd was born on August 4, 1956, in Midway GA to the late Mr. Tom Sr. and the late Mrs. Magdalene Holmes. She was the first of seven children born of this union and was the oldest of two daughters.

A Time to Learn and be Progressive

Judy received her K-12 education through the Liberty County School System and graduated in 1974 from Bradwell Institute.  Her education didn't stop there. While working on post as a paraprofessional Judy heard from the Lord to go back to school.  Jokingly Judy told him "Yeah, right prepare the way first".  He did just that with Judy being awarded different amounts of financial aid, some of which she herself didn't even apply for.  Judy also graduated with honors in 1996 from Armstrong Atlantic State University, with a Bachelor's degree in Science and Education.  Judy also graduated from Central Michigan in 2003 with a master's degree in early elementary education.  In 2005, she graduated from Brewton Parker with her T-5 specialist degree, both with honors of course.   Judy had a love for singing and hearing the choir.  This was what the Lord used to draw her to him and later she received Jesus as he Lord and Savoir.   Judy was a devoted school teacher for the Liberty County School System at the schools Jordye Bacon Elementary, and Joesph Martin Elementary.

A Time to Live

Along with devoting time to helping students as a school teacher, Judy also displayed the same devotion to members of the community and in church.  If there was something she could help someone with she would give her best efforts to do so.  She loved reading the word for her Pastor Elder Horace Oliver and as she became familiar with Facebook, she would post the services on there as well.
Even after retirement, Judy would still help others in education by giving advice to teachers that sought it and by educating students through tutoring.

A Time to Die

Sis. Judy went on to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon December 1, 2024.  Preceding her in death were her parents and her older sibling Rual Leon Golden and her younger sibling Brenda S Oliver.  Judy leaves to mourn and cherish her memories her two children Nichole (Kenna) Graham Midway GA, and Benjamin (Marcia) Lloyd Jr Allenhurst, GA; Four brothers Tom (Rochelle) Holmes, Jr. Hinesville GA; Ronald (Sharon) Holmes and Malcolm Holmes, Midway, GA; and Herman (Crystal) Holmes, Hinesville, GA; 6 grandchildren Jazmine Lloyd (Jazzy Pooh), Midway, GA; Idris Graham, Atlanta, GA; Kareemah Graham, Hinesville, GA; Ta'Mara Lloyd, Marcia' Lloyd, Dwight Lloyd, Allenhurst GA; 3 great grandchildren Iniyah Anderson, Daylon Anderson, and Ka'miyaha Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
