Obituary

Michelle B Taylor passed away early Saturday March 1, 2025, at her residence in
Hinesville, GA surrounded by her family. She was born July 16th, 1951, in Daisy,
Georgia, living most of her life in Hinesville she was educated in the local schools of
Liberty County graduating in 1969 from Bradwell Institute. She continued her higher
education at Savannah State College now Savannah State University receiving a
Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She was a mental health consultant for
Coastal Mental Health and Communication Service. She retired after 16 years due to
her health from Liberty County Department of Family and Children Services as a Social
Worker.

At an early age she joined St. Luke Baptist Church in Daisy, GA where she sang in the
choir and participated in all youth activities. Later she became a member of Trinity
Missionary Baptist Temple. Where she was a faithful member of the usher ministry until
her health would not allow her to serve. She also loved to attend Sunday school and
Bible study as often as possible.

Michelle married her childhood sweetheart in 1974, Walter H. Taylor and he became
her faithful caregiver for 23 years of her illness. Michelle leaves to cherish her memories
her loving and devoted husband Deacon Walter H. Taylor, son Walter Lamont Taylor of
White Plains, Maryland, daughter Shayla Michelle Taylor of Albany, Georgia,
granddaughter Nyla Monique Lachelle Taylor of White Plains, Maryland. One sister
Delieth B. Wright Hinesville GA, two brothers Gurnie Ward Bacon, Jr. (Carolinda)
Blanton E. Bacon (Teresa) of Hinesville GA. Mother-in-love Mrs. Ernestine Taylor
Hinesville, GA two brother in laws Don and Kenneth Taylor of Hinesville GA sister-in-law
Patricia Cauley (Glenn) and Lechlia Ingram of Hinesville GA; one God daughter
Stephanie Crystal Thomas Decatur, MS.

Several niece, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Gurnie Ward Bacon, Sr. (Martha),
James P. Carroll and Marcus D. Bacon.
