Mary was born to the late Pearlie Mae Norwood and Timothy Williams on Monday, April 8, 1957. She attended the Liberty County Public Schools.
Mary was self-employed and had a passion for doing hair and make-up.

On Thursday December 5, 2024, an angel came to put their arms around her as she transitioned home. Mary Ellen Roberts leaves to cherish her
memories one daughter: Lori Moore of Hinesville, Ga. Three sons: Charles Roberts of Atlanta, Ga., Marfiette Roberts of Hinesville, GA., and Angelo Roberts of Midway, Ga. Two Sisters: Beverly (Frank) Hood of Glennville, Ga., and Cynthia (Henry) Granger of Midway, Ga. Three Aunties: Henrietta Roberts, Lillian Roberts, and Susan Roberts all of Midway, Ga. One Uncle: Fleming (Birdie) Roberts of Brunswick, Ga. Along with 17 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. A special niece Tonya Williams whom she lived with, and special cousin Sharon Patterson
