Our Condolences to the family of Mr. Marcus D. Bacon.&
Marcus Delain Bacon, age 68, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his residence in Hinesville, Georgia. He was born in Daisy, Georgia, living most of his life in Hinesville. He was educated in the local schools of Liberty County and graduated from Bradwell institute (high). Following his graduation from high school he worked at Interstate Paper, Riceboro, GA. He later enlisted in the United States Army in 1979. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he worked at Fort Stewart, GA as an overseas operator. Later he worked as a custodian for the Liberty County School System and many other jobs in Liberty County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gurnie Ward Bacon, Sr. and brother, James P. Carroll.
Marcus is survived by two daughters: Elder Nikko B. (Christian) Williams of York Pennsylvania and Sheilah Amos (Demples) of Hampton, Virginia; brothers: Gurnie Ward (Carlinda) Bacon, Jr. and Blanton (Teresa) Bacon; sisters: Delieth B. Wright and Michelle (Walter) Taylor all of Hinesville, GA; uncle: Sammie Averett of Savannah, GA; aunts: Clara (Edward) Roundtree of Miami, FL, Berdie B. Webb of Atlantic City, NJ, Mary B. Webb of Pembroke, GA and Berta M. Bacon of Walthourville, GA; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a special friend Cathy Winn.
