Loretta Portia Baker was born March 3, 1947, in McIntosh, GA to the late Dorothy Baker and Issac Baker. She was the second child of this union. On Thursday, July 29, 2021, early in the morning at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL Loretta entered eternal rest.

Loretta attended Liberty County High School and attended Midway Congregational Church. She was employed with Tri-County Protective Agency, Midway Nursing Home and as the Front Desk Clerk at Shoney's Inn.

She like to laugh and joke with her friends and family. Loretta was a very caring, loving, and protective of her family. She developed a close bond with her friends that will be cherished forever. Loretta didn't have children of her own, but she was the mother of many.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy & Issac Baker and her brother Issac Baker.

Loving memories will remain in the hearts of her family, her Aunt Eunice L. Fleming, Uncle Edward Walthour, sister Cheryl Morton (Kent) Allentown, PA and brother Gerald Morrison of Jersey City, NJ. Devoted cousins Ponsietta Roberts, Benjamin Fleming (Gin), Princetta James, and Catherine Baker. She had a special bond with the Lewis and Gross family and a host of dear friends Priscilla, Lula Bell and Mary of Jacksonville, FL. She will be truly missed by her nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
