Leona Bailey, daughter of the late John Edd and Georgia Carter Young Bailey was born January 2, 1943 in Christian County Kentucky.

At an early age Leona, accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined the Durrett Avenue Baptist Church in Hopkinsville Kentucky.

Leona passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday June 26, 2023 she was 80 years old and was&anemployee of Jennie Stuart MedicalCenter for 11 years where she retired. After retirement she spent time fishing and enjoying momentswith family and friends.

Leona is survived by her daughter SandraCarew(Frederick Sr)of Hinesville Georgia,twograndchildren; FrederickCarew Jr(Porcha) of Belgium, KamicaCarew(Joseph) of Germany,twogreat-grandchildren;Jasmyn Carew of Valdosta, Georgia, Christopher Carew of Belgium,siblings;Julia West, GeorgeBailey,Lillian Wimberly, JT Bailey, Betty Warner and Irene Greenwade,anda host of nieces and nephews. She waspreceded in death bysiblings;Johnnie Killebrew, Dorothy Huff, Linda Leavell, Frances Spates, Queenastere Thornton Turnley, and brother Ernest Bailey.
