Obituary

"You are near, even if I don't see you. You are with me, even if you are far away. You are in my heart, in my thoughts, in my life, always."

Mr. Kenneth G. Robertson, son of the late Ms. Mamie (Roberts) Robertson and the late&Mr. Nathan Simmons, was born September 12, 1963, in Miami, Florida.

Kenneth grew up in Brooklyn, New York and received his early education in the New York City Public School System. He graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1981. After graduating, Kenneth started working for the United States Coast Guard as an Equipment Specialist and Logistic Manager. After 40 faithful years of service, Kenneth retired in 2022 while also pursuing a bachelor's degree at Strayer University.

Kenneth had a deep love for sports and enjoyed sowing into the lives of young people. This passion led to years of refereeing several youth sports games. Kenneth also enjoyed traveling, racquetball, telling an occasional corny dad joke, and riding his favorite white Goldwing motorcycle. He was also a former member of the Esquires Motorcycle Club of Aberdeen, Maryland. Kenneth was a man of precision and a stickler for detail. He was an upstanding man in the community and was often found playing basketball and spending time with his nephew, Vincent Jr. Kenneth made his transition on July 23, 2024, at his home in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

He leaves to mourn: his daughter Danielle Howell and grandchildren Aiden and Aubree of Piscataway, NJ; Brothers: Vincent Robertson, Sr. of Lawton, OK and Deron Simmons (Andrea) of Clarkesville, TN; Sisters: Susanne Robertson of Brooklyn, NY; Cheryl Peterson (Hinesville, GA); Paulette Robertson of Midway, GA; Sheneka Roberts of Riceboro, GA; a cousin/sister: Lavonia "Peggy" Lecounte (Malcolm) of Riceboro, GA; Stepmother Gloria Simmons, a host of aunts and uncles: Whymon Simmons (Diane) of Philadelphia, PA; Evelyn Bell (Leroy) of Manassau, VA; Anthony Simmons of Midway, GA; Thelma S.
