Joe Bryant was born and raised in Liberty County by Joe and Fannie Bryant who preceded him in death.& Joe worked for years as a fisherman and then went on to work as a laborer at Stevens Shipping Co.

At an early age Joe joined Sunbury Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as an usher until he became ill.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Victoria G. Bryant, a son, Joe Nathan Bryant, Jr, a daughter, Patricia Bryant, two brothers, William Bryant and Samuel Bryant and one sister, Mrs. Mary Davis.
Joe passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Coastal Manor Nursing Home under the care of Hospice.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Ms. Joeann Bryant, Anthonette Bryant, Carston Bryant (Dorthy), Alonza Bryant (Charlina), Tony Bryant (Tonya); sisters-in-law: Sandra Campbell, Princess Jean Golphin, Ethel Cummings, and Carrie Harris (Gilbert); brothers-in-law: Curtis Roberts (Florence), Aaron Roberts (Judy) Alphonza Roberts (Samantha) and Ceaser Roberts (Merlyn); nineteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special grandson, Damien Bryant.
