John Roberts affectionately known as John Batt of Midway, Georgia, was born on
November 18, 1942, to his loving parents, Laura Bell Worlds and John Arthur Roberts,

retirement, he found joy in tending his garden and visiting elderly members of the
community. He generously shared fresh fruits and vegetables with those in need,
especially the elderly.

John was united in marriage to Earnestine Roberts, his loving wife of 61 years.
Together, they built a strong and loving home and family.

He was a proud father of six children: Deloris R. Golden; Tammie R. Carter (Lawrence Jr.) of Midway, Georgia; Beverly M. Dowers and Josephine Roberts of Hinesville, Georgia, Tyrone Holmes (Cathy) of Atlanta, Georgia; and Debra Frazier (Michael) of Riceboro, Georgia He also shared a special bond with Carolyn Simmons, whom he loved as a daughter.

in death, as well as 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other
relatives, and friends.

His caring heart and loving spirit touched many lives, and his memory will forever be
