Jimmie Nicholas - RaSean
Smiley
May 5, 1999 — Jun 8, 2026
Columbia
Jimmie Nicholas RaSean Smiley was born on May 5, 1999, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, to his loving mother, LaShawn D. Smiley. From an early age, his mother affectionately called him "Jimmie Nick," a name that would become known and cherished by all who loved him. He was his mother’s “Wildcat!”
Jimmie Nick had a smile that was contagious, a laugh that brought joy to others. He never met a stranger and had a unique way of making people feel seen, valued, and appreciated. Whether through his warm hugs, encouraging words, or simply spending time with those he loved, Jimmie Nick left a lasting impression on the hearts of many.
Jimmie Nick’s love for his cousins was unmatched, and he treasured every moment spent creating memories with his family and friends. He enjoyed sharing laughter, stories, and good times with those closest to him. His caring nature and genuine love for others made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.
Above all, Jimmie Nick was a devoted and loving father to his beloved son, Ny'Zir Alexander Nicholas Smiley, who shares the same birthday as his father. Becoming a father was one of the greatest joys of his life. He embraced fatherhood with love, patience, and dedication. He was a hands-on father who delighted in spending time with his son, teaching him, playing with him, and comforting him whenever he needed reassurance. The bond they shared was special and will forever remain a treasured part of Jimmie Nick's legacy.
On June 8, 2026, Jimmie Nicholas ReSean Smiley peacefully departed this earth and gained his heavenly wings. He was welcomed into Heaven by his Grandfather (Papa), Bishop Jimmie L. Smiley, Jr. and a host of loved ones who went before him, where we find comfort in knowing he is at peace.
Jimmie Nick leaves behind to cherish his memory and celebrate his life his loving mother, Doctor LaShawn D. Smiley; his precious son, Ny'Zir Alexander Nicholas Smiley; his grandmother Reverend Doctor Lucile W. Smiley-Bomar; his new expecting bundle of joy and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his love and laughter will forever remain in our hearts.
As we remember Jimmie Nick, we celebrate a life that touched so many and a love that will never fade. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
