Obituary

Jannie Lee Hendrix was born on January 5, 1942 to the late Annie Mae and Johnnie Hendrix. She attended school in Brooklet, Georgia and later had two sons Rufus and Jerry Hendrix both of whom reside in heaven. After the birth of her sons, Jannie relocated to Winter Haven, where she settled in and became a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Years later, her son Jerry moved to Winter Haven to join her until his untimely death in December of 2021. Jannie's favorite hobbies included: going back to home to visit her family, baking and cooking for family, friends, and even her community. She worked at Morrison's/Piccadillys as a baker until she retired. Jannie was always full of joy. She will be remembered by all of her loved ones for her witty jokes, moves on the dance floor, and her newly discovered love for karaoke (MC Skinny). She will always be remembered for being the life of the party.

Jannie was preceded in death by four of her siblings; Vera Dell Smith, Jannie Taylor, Louise Hendrix, and Johnnie Mae Reddish. She leaves behind to cherish two grandkids, Jalisa and Jerry Javonn Hendrix, two great grandchildren Arianna and Alayna Hendrix, two siblings, Lottie Mae (Harry) Brown, HB Hendrix, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
