MotherIrieLee Lambert, daughter of the lateWill and Louise Roberts, was born on January 28, 1934inRiceboro, Georgia.She was one of elevenchildren; sevenpreceded her in death.Mother Lambert entered into eternal rest onTuesday, April 6, 2021at St. Joseph Hospitalin Savannah, Georgia.



She was educatedin the public schools of Liberty County. She received hercosmetology license inthe early60's from MadameCargo's School of Beauty-culturein Savannah, GA.Sheowned and operated LambertBeauty SaloninRiceboro, GAfor over45years.



At an early age, Mother Lambert joined First African Baptist Church. After marriage, she became a member of First Anderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She served as secretary of the church and the Progressive Missionary Baptist Association for more than 25 years. She served faithfully as president of the Home Mission for many years.



She wasunited in Holy Matrimony toDea. Albert Lamberton September 8, 1951.To this union, they were blessed withfivechildren. Her son EugeneLambert and her husbandof 55years,Albert Lambert,bothpreceded her in death.



Mother Lambert leaves a legacy of love, faith,courage,andcommitment tohersons: Albert, Jr. (Janice)LambertandWalter (Leola)Lambertboth ofRiceboro, GA;three daughters: Leola(Henry) McKally of Miami,FL, Elaine Lambert, and Yvonne Lambertboth ofRiceboro, GA; three god-sons: Richard (Emma) Barrett, Michael Barrett, andJerard(Crystal)Roberts all ofRiceboro, GA;one brother: Albert Robertsof Miami, FL,two sisters: Ellen (Jack) Paulof Miami, FL, andAnnie Ash ofRiceboro, GA,brother-in-laws: Israel Lambert of Miami, FL,andJames Singletonof Savannah, GA; sister-in-laws:BerdieStevens of Atlanta, GA, and Sadie Roberts ofRiceboro, GA; 16 grandchildren;19 greatgrandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,other relativesand friends.
