Hector Maurice
Jones
June 1, 1959 – September 10, 2023
Hector Maurice Jones, affectionately known as "Chuck," to family and friends, was born on June 1, 1959, in Hinesville Georgia, to Johnnie and Legirtha Jones, who preceded him in death. Chuck received his education in the Liberty County school system, where he graduated high school from Bradwell Institute. After graduating, Chuck moved to Miami, Florida where he started his career in sales; he then later moved to Fort Lauderdale, continuing his sales career and entrepreneurship development. He gave his life to Christ at an early age when he joined First Calvary Baptist Church.
Chuck was a very outgoing and family-oriented person. He loved being around his family laughing, joking, and eating. Chuck was also high maintenance and kept himself very well maintained. Even on his sick bed, Chuck made sure he was cleaned shaved, and no gray hairs! Every piece of clothing had to be dry cleaned, starched, and pressed! Chuck loved and took pride in speaking highly of all his children.
Chuck was strong in faith. He fought a good fight while battling his sickness. On September 10th, God decided to call his beloved son home.
His memories will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He leaves to mourn his death, Four sons: Antwon of Baxley, Levon (Tamiko) of Miami, Javen of Atlanta, Kobe of Columbia, and Keshawn of Fort Lauderdale. Three daughters: Sahara (Duron) of Miami, Keshana, and Marissa both of Fort Lauderdale. Four brothers: Eric, Robert, and Ralph Jr. all of Hinesville, and Ronnie of Savannah.
