Ms. Gladys Gaulden was born June 18, 1927 to Willie Levius Gaulden and&Lillie Bell Gaulden in Flemington, Georgia.
She was educated at Liberty County Training (LCT) and Savannah State College (now University). Gladys continued her education in Queens New York where she worked at Queens Memorial Hospital as a Head Registered Nurse and Supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Carrie Gaulden, Luethel (Lue) Simmons and Rose Gaulden Bates and brothers, William (Bill) Gaulden, Charlie Gaulden, Harry Gaulden, George Gaulden and Nathaniel Gaulden.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memory two sisters: Beulah Sanders and Lula Godbolt; one brother: James "Champ" Gaulden and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
